TYING THE JACKHAMMER

DOUBLE TROUBLE

A spinoff of the larger Trifecta, the Double Trouble combines incredible movement in a smaller package. Tied with a size 2 hook behind a 25mm shank.

TRIFECTA

The Trifecta is a big trout fly, designed for Great Lakes steelhead and migratory browns. It’s built on a size 2 hook, 17mm shank, size 1 hook platform with lead eyes and a pushy head.

The Jackhammer

The product of many tweaks over multiple seasons, the Jackhammer is a potent power-fishing tool. This jig fly, tied on a size 2 or 1 hook behind a shank fitted with a 5.5mm tungsten bead, gets positively deleted by smallmouth. It excels in seams along fast water, where it penetrates quickly and flutters wildly. Its single hook, placed in the rear of the fly ensures hookups while minimizing damage to fish.

The JackRABBIT

A single-hook fly, the Jackrabbit is a simple, yet powerful tool for smallmouth bass. It’s built on the same principles as the Jackhammer, with shingled marabou over chenille, creating a fly that excels when stripped or swung.

BOU CRAW

The Bou Craw is quick, cheap, and easy to tie. It’s a fish catching machine that’s thrown into sketchy, snaggy areas with confidence. Learn to tie the Bou Craw here:
