St. Croix Fly Fishing - Fall 2026

Follow for updates:

Episode 1: The Jackrabbit

The Jackrabbit has become one of my go-to flies for smallmouth and steelhead for its versatility. I tie it on a couple of different hooks in weighted and unweighted configurations. This tutorial demonstrates an unweighted version tied on an Ahrex Universal Curve hook in size 1.

Episode 2: The Dub Craw

The Dub Craw is a light-weight crayfish imitator for bass and trout. Built on the Ahrex TP650, it rides hook-point up to minimize snags, and can be fished low and slow or ripped through the water column. Color combinations are endless, making the Dub Craw a versatile option for a myriad of water conditions.
