Eight Weight welcomes contributions from anglers, writers, photographers, and fly tiers who bring fresh perspectives to the water. We're interested in compelling stories, practical knowledge, and original content that informs, inspires, and connects the fly-fishing community.

Contributor Information

We're currently accepting submissions and story pitches covering a variety of fly-fishing topics, including:

• Fishing Stories: Memorable experiences, destinations, and personal perspectives.

• Techniques & Tactics: Practical advice for becoming a more effective angler.

• Fly Tying: Original patterns, tutorials, and creative approaches at the vise.

• Conservation & Community: People, places, and initiatives shaping the sport.

• Photography: Original imagery that captures the experience of fly fishing.

Submission Guidelines

Please include a brief description of your proposed article, relevant writing or photography samples (if available), and a short introduction about yourself.

We welcome both experienced contributors and emerging voices. All submissions are reviewed for editorial fit, originality, and quality.
